The LM2596S-5.0/NOPB operates from 4.5-40V input, provides a fixed 5V output up to 3A and uses a 150kHz switching frequency. It includes an internal switch, current limiting, thermal shutdown and ON/OFF control.

Compatibility note

The S version is SMD TO-263/DDPAK and is not mechanically identical to the T TO-220 version. Output is fixed at 5V and is not adjustable.
