The STMicroelectronics LM317T Adjustable Positive Linear Voltage Regulator 1.2-37V 1.5A TO-220 is an adjustable three-terminal positive linear voltage regulator providing 1.2-37V output and more than 1.5A load current with adequate heatsinking.

Technical description

Output voltage is set using an external two-resistor divider. The LM317T includes internal current limiting, thermal shutdown and safe-operating-area protection. Maximum input-to-output differential is 40V.

Indicative applications

Suitable for adjustable power supplies, DC regulation, chargers, current regulators and laboratory or industrial circuits.

Compatibility note

For currents near 1.5A, adequate heatsinking and input-voltage headroom are required. Verify TO-220 pinout before replacement.
