SigmaIXION IP/G

The SIGMA IXION IP/G is a TCP/IP and GPRS communication device for S-PRO and AEOLUS alarm panels, designed to transmit events to an Alarm Receiving Centre through Ethernet, a mobile data network or both communication channels simultaneously.

Technical description

The module connects directly to the alarm panel BUS and transmits events to the Alarm Receiving Centre using the SIA IP protocol in accordance with the ANSI/SIA DC-09 specification. AES-128 encryption is used to protect the transmitted data.

Communication can be established through Ethernet TCP/IP, GPRS or both transmission paths simultaneously, providing alternative communication routes. The unit supports connection to two Alarm Receiving Centres and reporting to two different IP addresses.

The S Mobile application provides remote control of the alarm system. The device also supports SMS and e-mail notifications, as well as remote programming of compatible alarm panels through the Internet using the S-Load software.

The IXION IP/G is powered by 12V DC from the alarm panel or a suitable independent power supply and requires up to 200mA. It can be installed at a distance of up to 100m from the alarm panel using a three-wire BUS connection.

Suitable for residential, commercial and industrial alarm installations requiring reliable event transmission through Internet and GPRS, remote system control and an alternative backup communication path.

Compatibility note

Compatible with SIGMA S-PRO alarm panels running version 5.1 or later and with SIGMA AEOLUS alarm panels. GPRS operation requires a suitable SIM card with an active mobile data service. E-mail transmission does not support SSL/TLS connections.
