The KA22130 from Samsung Semiconductor is a monolithic audio integrated circuit designed as a one-chip tape recorder system. It integrates a preamplifier, ALC – Automatic Level Control circuit and power amplifier in a single IC, reducing the number of external components required in cassette recorder circuits. The device operates from a 4V to 12V supply voltage range and is supplied in a 16-DIP through-hole package. It is suitable for repair, replacement and maintenance of older audio circuits, mono cassette recorders, portable recording/playback equipment and audio recorder modules. The power amplifier section delivers typically 1W at 6V with 4Ω load and 10% THD, and up to approximately 2.2W at 9V / 4Ω / 10% THD according to the datasheet.
