The Optosea FOFPS-45/1.2 Fiber Optic Fusion Splice Protection Heat Shrink Sleeves 45mm x 1.2mm Pack of 100 are heat-shrink protective sleeves designed to mechanically reinforce and protect fiber-optic fusion splices in professional FTTH and FTTx installations.

Technical description

The FOFPS-45/1.2 has a nominal sleeve length of 45mm and a 1.2mm dimensional version. After fusion splicing, the sleeve is positioned over the splice and heated in the appropriate fusion-splicer heater to produce a mechanically stable and protected fiber joint. The package contains 100 pieces.

Indicative applications

Suitable for FTTH, FTTx, drop cable, optical distribution boxes, splice trays, ODFs, patch panels, telecommunications installations and general protection of single-mode or multimode fiber splices where the splice tray accepts a 45mm protection sleeve.

Compatibility note

Before use, verify that the splice tray and fusion-splicer heater support a 45mm protection sleeve. The 1.2mm designation is a construction dimension of the FOFPS-45/1.2 version and should not be described as wall thickness without the corresponding manufacturer dimensional drawing.
