The onsemi MC34067PG High-Performance Resonant Mode Controller Dual 1.5A MOSFET Outputs PDIP-16 is a high-performance resonant-mode controller for zero-voltage-switching off-line and DC/DC converters with dual high-current MOSFET gate outputs.

Technical description

The MC34067 includes a variable-frequency oscillator with greater than 1000:1 control range, precision one-shot timer, 5.1V reference, error amplifier and programmable soft-start. Its dual totem-pole outputs can source/sink up to 1.5A pulsed and are intended for fast power-MOSFET drive. The oscillator is designed for operation above 1MHz.

Indicative applications

Suitable for resonant converters, zero-voltage-switching power supplies, high-frequency DC/DC converters and off-line switching power supplies.

Compatibility note

The PG version is PDIP-16 and corresponds to the commercial-temperature MC34067, not the MC33067 industrial grade. This family is intended for resonant-mode topologies and is not a drop-in conventional PWM controller.
