The Fairchild Semiconductor LM393N Dual Voltage Comparator 2-36V Open Collector DIP-8 is a Fairchild Semiconductor low-power dual voltage comparator with open-collector outputs and a wide supply range.

Technical description

The LM393N contains two independent comparators, operates from 2-36V or +/-1 to +/-18V and has an input common-mode range including ground. Open-collector outputs interface with TTL, CMOS and other logic levels through a pull-up resistor.

Indicative applications

Suitable for level detection, zero crossing, window circuits, sensors, oscillators, battery monitoring and power-control applications.

Compatibility note

The outputs are open collector and require pull-ups. Fairchild is now part of onsemi, but this listing refers to legacy Fairchild-marked stock.
