OEM44269 USB
The OEM AVR JTAG ICE USB Emulator Debugger Programmer is a development tool for programming and hardware debugging selected 8-bit AVR ATmega microcontrollers through the JTAG interface. It connects to the computer through USB and to the target circuit through the standard 10-pin AVR JTAG connector.
Technical description
The unit is compatible with the legacy Atmel AVR JTAG ICE platform and provides JTAG programming and on-chip debugging for supported AVR microcontrollers. Debug functions include single-step program execution, breakpoints and monitoring of the microcontroller state during firmware development and testing.
This OEM version uses a metal enclosure, a buffer chip for improved interface protection and a 0.5A resettable PTC fuse. It supports 3.3V target operation and uses a 10-pin JTAG connection compatible with the classic Atmel JTAG pin layout.
Indicative applications
Suitable for firmware development and testing, AVR programming through JTAG, embedded-system debugging, single-step execution, breakpoint debugging and laboratory development of boards based on compatible ATmega microcontrollers.
Compatibility note
This product is an OEM AVR JTAG ICE compatible with the legacy Atmel JTAG ICE generation and is not a genuine Atmel-ICE or JTAGICE mkII. It supports only microcontrollers equipped with the appropriate JTAG interface and included in the compatible device family. It must not be considered a universal AVR programmer or confused with USBasp, ISP, debugWIRE, PDI or modern Atmel-ICE tools. Verify support for the exact microcontroller and AVR Studio version before use.
