IKUSIANT.KSG-120

The IKUSI KSG-120 is a directional terrestrial television antenna designed for UHF signal reception. It covers UHF channels 21-69 and provides a nominal gain of 12dB, making it suitable for residential and professional television reception installations.

Technical description

The KSG-120 uses a collinear radiator configuration with one dihedral reflector. Its directional design concentrates reception towards the television transmitter and reduces unwanted signals arriving from behind the antenna.

The nominal gain is 12dB and the front-to-back ratio is at least 25dB. The horizontal beamwidth is approximately 44 degrees and the vertical beamwidth is approximately 35 degrees, allowing accurate alignment towards the required television transmitter.

The antenna has a 75 Ohm impedance and uses a terminal-clamp coaxial cable connection. It is a passive antenna without an integrated amplifier and does not require electrical power for normal operation.

The antenna elements and supporting bars are manufactured from aluminium. Its mounting system is suitable for masts with an approximate diameter of 25-50mm and allows tilt adjustment for correct antenna alignment.

Typical applications

Suitable for DVB-T and DVB-T2 terrestrial television reception, houses, apartment buildings, communal television systems, commercial premises, hotels and installations requiring directional UHF signal reception.

Installation note

The antenna should be installed on a suitable mast, as high and unobstructed as possible, and aligned towards the required television transmitter. A good-quality 75 Ohm coaxial cable and correct weatherproofing of the connection are recommended.

Amplification note

A suitable masthead preamplifier or distribution amplifier may be used in installations with weak signal levels or long coaxial cable runs. An amplifier is not included with the antenna.
