The Rayex L90-5W Power Relay SPDT 5VDC 30A 240VAC Sealed PCB is an L90-series electromagnetic power relay with a 5VDC coil, one SPDT / 1 Form C changeover contact and sealed enclosure for PCB mounting.

Technical description

The L90-5W has a 5VDC coil with 27Ohm +/-10% resistance and approximately 0.9W coil power. For a resistive load, the official NO contact rating is 30A/240VAC, 20A/277VAC and 20A/30VDC. The NC contact has a lower rating of 20A/240VAC, 15A/277VAC and 10A/30VDC. The series uses silver-alloy contacts, specifies up to 50mOhm initial contact resistance and up to 15ms operate and release times.

Indicative applications

Suitable for power switching in household appliances, power supplies, heating and ventilation systems, controllers, automation equipment and electronic PCBs requiring an SPDT relay with a 5VDC coil.

Compatibility note

The 30A figure applies to the NO contact at 240VAC resistive load and must not automatically be applied to the NC contact or to inductive loads. Before replacement, verify the 5VDC coil, SPDT pinout, PCB footprint and actual load type. Motors, transformers, lamps and other high-inrush loads require appropriate derating.
