The Fischer Elektronik MSTS 220 TO-220 Transistor Insulation Kit with WS 220 Silicone Pad is a mounting and electrical-insulation kit for TO-220 power semiconductors on a heatsink, using a thermally conductive WS 220 silicone insulating pad.

Technical description

The Fischer Elektronik MSTS 220 is specifically designed for TO-220 packages. The kit contains one WS 220 silicone wafer, one insulating sleeve, one tin-plated solder lug, one nickel-plated cheese-head screw and one nickel-plated M3 nut. The MSTS version uses a silicone pad and should not be confused with the MST 220 version, which uses a GS 220 mica wafer.

Indicative applications

Electrical insulation and mounting of MOSFETs, transistors, voltage regulators, diodes and other TO-220 power devices on metal heatsinks.

Compatibility note

Designed for TO-220 devices. Before assembly, verify the semiconductor package, heatsink mounting arrangement and the requirement to electrically isolate the metal tab from the heatsink.
