The NEDIS ACON2505BK is a one-way digital audio converter that converts S/PDIF coaxial audio via RCA to optical TosLink digital audio. It allows Blu-ray players, DVD players, game consoles, media players or set-top boxes to be connected to audio devices that only provide an optical digital input.

Technical description

The converter features one S/PDIF coaxial RCA input and one TosLink optical female output. Operation is one-way, from coaxial digital to optical digital. It is powered by 5V DC through a USB to DC power cable and includes an on/off switch and power LED indicator. It supports digital audio formats such as PCM, DTS, DTS 5.1, Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital 5.1.

Suitable for connecting Blu-ray players, DVD players, game consoles, media players, set-top boxes, TVs, AV receivers, amplifiers and home cinema systems with digital audio inputs and outputs.

Compatibility note

The ACON2505BK only converts coaxial S/PDIF RCA digital audio to optical TosLink. It does not convert TosLink to coaxial and it does not convert digital audio to analogue stereo RCA. For analogue audio output, a separate DAC converter is required.
