The NEDIS ACON2509BK is a digital to analogue audio converter DAC, designed to convert a digital audio signal from optical TosLink or coaxial S/PDIF RCA input to analogue 2x RCA stereo output. It is a practical solution when the audio source provides only digital audio output and the amplifier, active speakers or audio system only provide analogue L/R input.

Technical description

The converter features one TosLink optical input and one S/PDIF coaxial RCA input, with analogue stereo RCA L/R output. It supports PCM audio and 44.1kHz, 48kHz and 96kHz sampling rates at 24-bit. It is powered from 5V DC through a USB to DC power cable and includes a power LED indicator. Input selection is made manually through the Coaxial / Optical switch.

Compatibility note

The ACON2509BK converts TosLink or S/PDIF coaxial digital audio to analogue stereo RCA. It does not convert analogue RCA audio to digital TosLink or S/PDIF. It supports PCM audio and is not intended to decode multichannel Dolby Digital or DTS to analogue stereo unless the source device is set to PCM output.
