The NEDIS ACON2507BK is a two-way digital audio converter designed to convert S/PDIF coaxial digital audio via RCA to optical TosLink and vice versa. It allows devices with different digital audio inputs or outputs to be connected without replacing the amplifier or source device. It can also operate as a pass-through / repeater, strengthening the digital signal.

Technical description

The converter includes one S/PDIF coaxial RCA port and one TosLink optical port. Operation is bi-directional, allowing conversion from coaxial to optical or from optical to coaxial. It is powered by 5V DC through a USB power cable and supports digital audio formats such as PCM, DTS, DTS 5.1, Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital 5.1. Its compact housing makes installation easy behind TVs, amplifiers or AV systems.

Compatibility note

The RCA connector on the ACON2507BK is a digital coaxial S/PDIF connection, not an analogue stereo RCA output. This product does not convert digital audio to analogue L/R audio. For analogue audio output, a different DAC converter is required.
