The SMA-J4 is a straight SMA cable plug for flexible coaxial cable type LMR240 / RF240. It features 50 Ohm characteristic impedance and maximum operating frequency of 12.4GHz, making it suitable for reliable RF connections requiring stable electrical performance and proper impedance matching.

Technical description

The SMA-J4 connector follows the MIL-C-39012 interface standard and provides VSWR of 1.06+0.03xf(GHz) max. It has a voltage rating of 500V rms and test voltage of 1000V rms. The center contact is brass with gold plating, the body and coupling nut are also gold-plated brass, while the insulator is PTFE for stable RF performance.

Compatibility note

The SMA-J4 is an SMA plug for LMR240 / RF240 cable and not a PCB connector. Before installation, verify the cable diameter, termination type, correct coaxial cable preparation and mechanical compatibility with the corresponding SMA jack or adapter. It should not be used with cables of different diameter without compatibility check.
