The RFID RC522 HW-126 module kit is a 13.56MHz RFID read/write module based on an RC522 / MFRC522 compatible controller. It is used for communication with compatible MIFARE / ISO/IEC 14443A RFID cards and key fobs. The module features an integrated PCB antenna, low power consumption and 3.3V DC operation, making it suitable for microcontroller and development board applications.

Technical description

The module typically communicates through an SPI interface and can be used with popular Arduino MFRC522 libraries. It supports UID reading, data read/write operations on compatible cards and use in basic user identification systems. The module must be powered from 3.3V DC and not directly from 5V.

Compatibility note
