OEMBME280
The OEM BMP280 5V is a barometric pressure and temperature sensor module, suitable for Arduino projects, IoT applications, weather stations, data logging, robotics and altitude estimation systems.
It is based on the BMP280 digital sensor and measures atmospheric pressure in the 300–1100hPa range, as well as ambient temperature. Pressure data can also be used for altitude estimation, making the module suitable for portable projects, weather stations and environmental monitoring applications.
Technical description
The BMP280 supports digital communication through I²C or SPI, depending on wiring and module version. The 5V module version is intended for easy use with Arduino and other development boards, provided that the module includes suitable power regulation and level adaptation. The sensor offers high-resolution pressure measurement and temperature data for compensation and environmental monitoring applications.
Typical applications
Suitable for Arduino weather stations, atmospheric pressure measurement, temperature indication, altitude estimation, IoT monitoring, data logging, ESP8266/ESP32 projects, Raspberry Pi applications, robotics, educational labs and electronic prototyping.
Compatibility note
The BMP280 measures pressure and temperature, not humidity. For humidity measurement, a BME280 sensor is required. The BMP280 chip itself operates at low voltage from 1.71V to 3.6V, so when used with 5V systems it must be confirmed that the module includes suitable regulation and, where required, I²C/SPI level shifting. The pinout of the specific board must be checked before connection.
