OEMDS18B20 Wateproof Sensor
The OEM Waterproof Temperature Probe Sensor DS18B20 is a digital waterproof temperature sensor with a stainless-steel probe, suitable for Arduino projects, automation, IoT applications, liquid temperature measurement, aquariums, tanks, refrigeration units and temperature monitoring systems.
It is based on the DS18B20 digital temperature sensor and uses a 1-Wire interface, allowing temperature measurement through a single microcontroller data pin. The measuring range is -55°C to +125°C, with typical accuracy of ±0.5°C from -10°C to +85°C, while measurement resolution can be configured from 9 to 12 bits.
Technical description
The sensor includes a sealed metal probe and a 3-wire cable for power, ground and data connection. Communication is performed through the 1-Wire bus, while each DS18B20 has a unique 64-bit serial code, allowing multiple sensors to be connected on the same data line. For proper operation, a pull-up resistor is required on the data line, typically 4.7kΩ, depending on the application and cable length.
Typical applications
Suitable for water temperature measurement, aquariums, tanks, thermostats, refrigerators, greenhouses, heating/cooling systems, Arduino and ESP projects, data logging, IoT monitoring, automation and educational electronic projects.
Compatibility note
The DS18B20 operates from 3.0V to 5.5V and is suitable for Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32, Raspberry Pi and other microcontrollers with proper interfacing. The metal probe is waterproof, but the connector end and exposed wires must not be immersed without additional sealing. For high-temperature applications, the cable temperature rating must also be checked, not only the sensor rating.
