The Adam Tech ADC-002-2 DC Power Jack 5.5x2.5mm 1A 12V Right Angle THT PCB is a right-angle DC power jack for through-hole PCB mounting, compatible with a 5.5x2.5mm barrel plug and rated up to 1A at 12VDC.

Technical description

The ADC-002-2 belongs to Adam Tech's ADC DC Power Jack series. It has a 2.5mm center pin, 90-degree orientation and through-hole mounting for direct PCB installation. The manufacturer specifies 12VDC maximum operating voltage, 1A maximum current, 30mOhm maximum initial contact resistance, at least 50MOhm insulation resistance and 250VAC dielectric withstand for 1 minute. The center pin is nickel-plated brass and the contacts are copper alloy with silver plating over a nickel underplate.

Indicative applications

Suitable for power inputs on electronic PCBs, controllers, compact equipment, development circuits, powered modules and projects using a standard 5.5x2.5mm DC barrel plug.

Compatibility note

Before installation, verify that the mating plug has 5.5mm outer and 2.5mm inner diameter, that device polarity is correct and that the load does not exceed 12VDC / 1A. ADC-002-2 is a right-angle PCB jack and must not be confused with a cable plug or with jacks using a different center-pin diameter.
