OPTEX FLX-S-ST FlipX Standard wired PIR infrared detector with rotatable lens, suitable for homes, offices, shops, educational facilities and professional indoor alarm installations.

The OPTEX FLX-S-ST is a wired passive infrared PIR detector from the FlipX Standard series, featuring an innovative rotatable lens that allows selection between 12m / 85 degrees wide detection or 18m / 5 degrees narrow corridor detection. A single detector can cover different indoor applications such as rooms, corridors, entrances and protected internal zones.

Technical description

The FLX-S-ST uses Passive Infrared technology and a new pyroelectric sensor with human catch element for reliable human motion detection and improved tolerance to small pets. It includes three-level PIR sensitivity adjustment, LED indication, 2.0 +/-0.5sec alarm period and approximately 60sec warm-up time. It operates from 9.5-16VDC and provides an N.C. 24VDC 0.1A max alarm output.

Compatibility note

The OPTEX FLX-S-ST is a wired PIR detector and requires connection to an alarm control panel with a wired zone. It is not wireless and it is not a dual-tech PIR/MW detector. Narrow mode is used for corridor-type areas, while Wide mode is the standard choice for rooms and open indoor spaces. For correct operation, the 2.0-3.0m mounting height must be followed and a walk test should be performed after installation.
