UNI-TUT-262E
The UNI-T UT262E is a professional non-contact phase sequence detector for three-phase 70-1000VAC systems. It allows phase sequence, phase loss, live-wire and cable-break checks without direct contact with bare conductors, improving safety during electrical testing.
Technical description
The UT262E uses a non-contact clamp detection method and operates on three-phase 70-1000VAC systems with a 45-66Hz frequency range. It automatically recognises standard 50Hz and 60Hz power systems and provides visual and audible indication through LEDs and a buzzer. Functions include phase detection, live-wire examination, missing-phase detection, positive or negative phase-sequence indication and conductor-break location.
The clamp accepts conductors approximately 2-40mm in diameter and features double insulation. The instrument includes automatic power-off after approximately 5 minutes, low-battery indication and is powered by 2x 1.5V AA batteries. Clamp safety rating is CAT IV 600V / CAT III 1000V and enclosure protection is IP52.
Typical applications
Suitable for electricians, maintenance technicians, distribution boards, three-phase motors, industrial installations, verification of correct phase sequence before motor connection and rapid diagnosis of missing phases or conductor breaks.
Compatibility note
Measurements are intended for three-phase AC circuits and each phase conductor must be positioned correctly in the clamp according to the instrument markings. Operation is intended for standard 50/60Hz power systems and is not specified for arbitrary variable-frequency power sources outside the stated range.
Frequently asked questions
Does it require contact with a bare conductor?
No. Detection is non-contact and is performed by clamping around an insulated conductor.
What voltage range does it support?
The operating range is 70-1000VAC on three-phase systems.
Can it identify incorrect phase sequence?
Yes. It indicates positive and negative phase sequence using LEDs and a buzzer.
